Vian Botma

Hi, I'm Vian. I have spent most my life being active, playing sport and learning about health. I have had my fair share of injuries and helped many others overcome theirs. I constantly strive to be patient centred and help out in the best way possible.

My background stems from health and fitness with sporting teams. After graduating as a Perth Exercise Physiologist in 2011, I have worked with many people from a variety of demographics to overcome their injury, manage their chronic condition or support their disability. I realised that exercise is not just about the physical benefits but also the mental benefits, therefore I believe in helping people to have holistic strength.

I started working for myself 6 years ago and created Holistic Strength to provide holistic healthcare in which we focus on the person as a whole. We consider many factors such as exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress, hormones, genetics etc when supporting our clients to be the best they can be. I am proud to see that Holistic Strength has become a multi disciplinary business offering a range of services by highly experienced professionals, to provide our clients with a holistic approach to their health.

In my spare time, I enjoy family outings, catching up with friends, going to the gym and watching sport.

Zac Prince

Hi, I'm Zac and I am an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in Perth. I manage the Leederville and Inglewood gyms for Holistic Strength. Prior to my studies, I completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biomedical Science and Pathology. I have a history as a Gym Manager at Loftus Rec Centre and Personal Trainer before graduating as an Exercise Physiologist.

Physical activity has always been a part of my life, starting with AFL, soccer and t-ball when I was a kid, moving to rugby and martial arts as I got older. I have a real passion for science and exercise which led me to becoming an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. I have worked in the fitness industry for the last 7 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am a true believer of exercise is medicine and I have seen firsthand how people have changed their lives through exercise. My goal as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist is to work with people to discover their capacity for exercise, no matter how minor it may appear. There is always something that can be done and discovering those modalities with people is the reason I love my job.

In my spare time, I still go to the gym for workouts and I often cook a BBQ for friends and family.

Elizabeth Jones

Hi, I’m Liz and I am one of the Accredited Exercise Physiologists at Holistic Strength, managing the northern suburbs.

Prior to my studies, I was a competitive acrobatic gymnast, gymnastics coach and judge. I began working as a volunteer coach in the UK 2009 before I moved to Perth in 2014, where I went on to complete further qualification in both coaching and judging across multiple gymnastics disciplines across the lifespan, including disability gymnastics. I retired from the sport after diagnosis of a chronic genetic hip condition in 2018 and coached until the end of 2021. My earlier experiences and exposure to injury during my gymnast and coaching years lead me to towards Exercise physiology, in particularly, injury prevention and management.

Following my graduation from ECU in 2021, I immediately went on to complete a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy, alongside other massage therapy modalities to compliment my current career. I have since worked within various clinics and within the mining industry in both professions before deciding to remain in Perth.

I have always enjoyed working with people in a variety of clinical exercise and sport settings, and am extremely passionate about educating people on the importance of exercise and providing creativity within exercise programs to engage participants and fulfil their goals. I believe in having fun whilst doing exercise is key to achieving long term health outcomes, in addition to maintaining and improving independence.

My main areas of interest include neurological/neuromuscular, men’s and women’s health, oncology, and musculoskeletal conditions.

In my free time, I enjoy being active, reading, completing craft projects and spending time with my 6-year-old dwarf rabbit, Neo.

In my spare time, I enjoy; going to the gym, reading, hiking, watching sport and having a BBQ with friends.
